Registration Continues for Applied Ergonomics Conference and Ergo Cup Competition

Registration is under way for the 6th Annual Applied Ergonomics Conference, to be held March 10-13, 2003 in Dallas, Texas.

The annual Applied Ergonomics Conference, sponsored by the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE), focuses on practical ergonomics applications in the workplace and provides attendees with the opportunity to learn at their own levels. Tracks are available in Manufacturing Applications, Services/Support Industries, Office Applications, Engineering and Design and Ergonomics Programs. Billing itself as Practitioners talking with practitioners, attendees can learn key ergonomics information, as well as how leading companies implemented successful ergonomics programs and what the attendees can do to mirror these results.

Special events this year include keynote speeches by Nancy Currie, NASA Space Shuttle astronaut, and Mark Hanson, President of the American Society of Safety Engineers. Local plant tours will include Mary Kay, Halliburton, Bell Helicopter and TI.

ERGO CUP Entry Deadline Nears

February 1, 2003 is the last day for submission for the annual Ergo Cup competition. Held in conjunction with the 6th Annual Applied Ergonomics Conference in Dallas, Texas, March 10 -13, 2003, the Ergo Cup competition recognizes excellence and innovation in ergonomics solutions in the workplace. Two 2002 Ergo Cup award winners were featured in the January, 2002 Ergonomics Report.
