Ergoweb's Co-Founder, President and CEO, Peter Budnick, will deliver a keynote presentation at the Applied Ergonomics Conference next week (March 18-21, 2013) in Dallas, TX. His presentation will take place Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at 9:45 AM, and will focus on Global Ergonomics.
In his presentation, Peter will describe ways in which ergonomics is applied to improve the quality of life for people around the world. Industrially developed regions are more familiar with its applications and benefits, but people in industrially developing countries also benefit when ergonomics reaches people employed in responsible multinational corporations. Corporate sustainability standards that demonstrate respect for people benefit local employees, and those practices then also to spread into supplier networks and local practices. International outreach projects like the Asian Work Improvement Network and Ergonomists Without Borders also play a role in spreading the value of ergonomics in industrially developing countries, particularly to small and family owned enterprises. Budnick will also discuss ways ergonomists can and already do help to improve ergonomics on a global scale, sharing examples from his and the work of others.
