ErgoUpdate: Michigan Legislators To Vote on Ergonomics Standard

Michigan legislators plan to vote after January 16 on House Bill 5447, legislation that would prohibit the state from enacting an ergonomic standard for workplaces. It is almost certain to pass, as the bill’s supporters say it will mean more job losses for the state. They argue that it would burden employers unnecessarily, and lead many to close shop or move out of state.
