Ergonomics is sometimes misundertood by corporate decisions makers. Ergonomics advocates know the value of ergonomics, yet often have a difficult time communicating that value to employers or clients. Since most organizational decisions are based on financial measures, it’s imperative that advocates persuade decision makers with compelling return on investment (ROI) information. This presentation will focus on the economics of ergonomics and review methods to quantify and communicate the value of ergonomics to business and government, including the economics of injuries, productivity, quality, absenteeism, and other bottom-line concerns that ergonomics can address.
Peter Budnick, Ph.D., CPE, President and CEO of Ergoweb, will present “Promoting Ergonomics: Communicating its Value, its Meaning and its Impact to Business” at the Sacramento Roundatable on Tuesday, March 14, 2006. The event will take place at the State Compensation Insurance Fund offices in Sacramento, California, USA.
This event is organized by the Ergonomics Roundtable of Sacramento and sponsored by Key Ovation. For more information please visit Ergonomics Roundtable of Sacramento.
