Ergoweb CEO Peter Budnick to Deliver Keynote for International Conference On Ergonomics 2007

Budnick to join other renowned speakers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for ICE 2007; will also serve as Visiting Associate Professor during his stay.

Park City, UT (November 14, 2007) – Ergoweb’s President and CEO, Peter Budnick, Ph.D., CPE, will provide the keynote address for ICE 2007. Ergonomics and Human Capital: Trends and Challenges is the theme for the three-day conference, which will provide an international forum for ergonomic scholars and experts to connect in a meaningful and productive setting.

Dr. Budnick’s keynote address will cover trends and challenges in the field and celebrate the significant impact of ergonomic research and design on both human experience and business success. Dr. Budnick will highlight accomplishments in research and practice, and honor those who develop and implement best ergonomic practices for the good of individuals and organizations. 

Intensive workshop options and concurrent sessions round out the conference offerings, and provide a 360-degree view of ergonomics training and practice. Dr. Budnick’s workshop, “Implementing Sustainable Ergonomics Processes in Industry,” will provide a practical guide to ergonomics in industry, discussing stakeholder buy-in, barriers to entry and elements of a sustainable program.   Other talks will illuminate ergonomic training options, the ergonomic value proposition, product design and workstation improvement.

Dr. Budnick will also serve as a Visiting Associate Professor to the Department of Engineering Design and Manufacture at the University of Malaya during his stay, where he will work with faculty and students on ergonomics applications in product design, and the measurement and reduction of risk in industrial and office settings. He will also share preliminary results from research conducted by the Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics (BCPE) that will impact the education and experience requirements for certification of ergonomics professionals. Dr. Budnick has been a BCPE Director since 2002, and currently serves as President of the non-profit organization.
