Ergoweb Inc., along with ergonomics experts and practitioners from across the country, came together in New York City last week to share ideas, successes, failures and innovations at the 2nd Annual Eastern Ergonomics Conference and Exposition.
The show was a popular success, with more than twice the number of exhibitors showcasing their products or services compared to last year. In addition, attendance was up more than 74% over last year.
“This growth,” said Walter Charnizon, President of Continental Exhibitions, Inc., producer of the show, “is a reflection of both the growing acceptance and recognition that ergonomics provides opportunities for businesses of all kinds. In this economy every untapped resource is critical”.
Many attendees learned about the show through Ergoweb Inc., who was the main media sponsor for the event. “I was very impressed with the number of people visiting the exhibition showroom,” said Ergoweb ergonomist Rachel Michael. “Also, I was pleased with the scheduling of events. I was able to both set up face-to-face client meetings at the show and also have time to sit with customers in our booth.”
Ergoweb also gave a presentation on Ergonomics in the Pharmaceutical Industry, which looked at ergonomics opportunities from musculoskeletal disorder reduction in production facilities to reduced error rates in drug dispensing in retail pharmacies.
If you were not able to come by the booth and meet us in New York City, Ergoweb will be attending The National Ergonomics Conference and Exposition, scheduled for December 8-11, 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
