Nominations are being sought for the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) annual ergonomics and human factors awards. Included are the Distinguished International Colleague Award, the Paul M. Fitts Education Award, the A. R. Lauer Safety Award, the Alexander C. Williams Jr. Design Award, and the Jack A. Kraft Innovator Award. Each year the HFES honors outstanding persons who have made significant contributions to the human factors/ergonomics discipline. Award nominees are not required to be HFES members.
HFES will present the awards during its 2003 annual meeting, October 13 – 17 in Denver, Colorado. Submissions should be sent to the appropriate subcommittee chair before April 1, 2003. Winners will be notified prior to the conference so arrangements to attend can be made.
