AIHA and COSHA Sign Memo of Understanding

The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) the Chinese Occupational Safety and Health Association (COSHA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to support one another’s goals for occupational and environmental health and safety.

Included in their plans are the following:

  • Exchanging copies of their journals and magazine

  • Exploring the possibility of conducting or providing the members of the other association with educational and training opportunities, including distance-learning programming

  • Providing representative delegations from each association with reduced registration rates for annual conferences and educational program attendance

  • Exploring the possibility of extending participation in the AIHA Laboratory Quality Assurance Program to Chinese laboratories

  • Cooperating with representative delegations during official visits, as a way to keep the two organizations current with each other’s activities and to ensure that opportunities for meaningful collaboration are nurtured.

AIHA says it plans to continue its outreach efforts internationally.
