Seating and office chair design remain central to workplace ergonomics and discussions of employee satisfaction and productivity. It’s a truism of ergonomics – a comfortable, well-fitted office chair enhances employee productivity and safety – and top seating manufacturers have embraced it.
But there’s still work to be done.
According to a June 2005 study conducted by WorkRite Ergonomics, nine out of 10 office workers, anchored to their desks for most of the day, report end-of-workday aches, pain and fatigue.
