Muscle Fatigue: Calcium Leaks, Not Lactic Acid, Thought to Cause Decreased Performance and Injury

The role of lactic acid in muscle fatigue is now questioned. Could it be 'calcium leaks' in the muscle, and could those 'leaks' cause muscle damage, and eventually MSDs? Researchers think so, and have even tested a drug (on mice) that may alleviate fatigue.
