Upgrade Your CubeLife — Ergotron Launches Sweepstakes in Celebration of National Ergonomics Month

Ergotron is pleased to celebrate October as National Ergonomics Month in order to help raise awareness about the importance of ergonomics in workplace wellness and productivity. Throughout October, Ergotron will offer a variety of online activities including "Work Fit Wednesdays"—a series of short, pre-recorded episodes that can be viewed anywhere, at any time. Designed to educate and engage viewers, the first of four "Create a Comfy CubeLife" episodes will air Wednesday, October 7, on http://promos.ergotron.com.

Ergotron is also launching the "Upgrade Your CubeLife" Sweepstakes for anyone looking to bring ergonomic adjustability into their daily computing. By registering, users will have multiple opportunities to win the Ergotron desk stand of their choice.

"The importance of applying ergonomics to the office environment in order to promote wellness and productivity has never been more important,” said Carrie Schmitz, Ergotron’s office ergonomics consultant and engineering publications manager." The introduction of the personal computer has revolutionized the way people in offices complete their tasks and relate to one another. Factor in an aging workforce population and you can understand why we are seeing more computer-related disorders than ever before. I can’t think of a single industry that has not been touched in some way by the use of the computer; for this reason alone it is essential we educate people about both the positive and negative impact it can have on their well being."

For over 25 years, Ergotron has been improving the human interface with digital displays, designing innovative mounting and mobility products for computer monitors, notebooks, and large flat panel displays and TVs that are as easy to use as they are to mount. Ergotron’s specific area of ergonomic focus is workplace computing, whether employees’ work takes place in the front or back office, whether their workflow requires sitting or standing, or whether they work in a dedicated space or remotely from the rest of their organization. "We want to make computing more comfortable for every computer user," said Jane Payfer, chief marketing officer at Ergotron. "Workplace wellness is directly impacting the healthcare costs of our nation. This is one frequently overlooked area where an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."
