We are looking for several talented, energetic, self-starter ergonomics professionals to join our Seattle team.

Team members will work directly with BVNA’s customers in various service scenarios ranging from longer term full- and part-time outsource roles to shorter, defined-scope projects. But at their core, all these roles are about applying ergonomics expertise and providing solutions which meet and exceed our clients’ needs.

This individual would:

  • Provide comprehensive ergonomics consulting services to clients
  • Possess an extensive knowledge of ergonomics technical subject matter and how to apply it in real-life settings. Some level of background & experience in the field of Occupational Therapy would also be viewed as a valuable additional skill set
  • Have an understanding of a fairly wide range of industries (experience in manufacturing & assembly a significant plus)
  • Possess excellent soft skills (examples: presentation skills; ability to work with multiple stakeholders at all levels – from touch labor on the shop floor to supervisors to managers to executives)
  • Be responsible for maintaining and further developing BVNA’s relationships with clients they are assigned to handle
  • Always be on the lookout to cross sell the additional suite of services offered by BVNA when appropriate

This role reports to the BVNA Pacific Northwest business unit manager.

Credentials: 

  • Ergonomics: CPE or CIE desirable but not mandatory.
  • Occupational Therapy (OT): any of the typical, industry-accepted OT credentials also desirable but not mandatory.

Experience: 7-8 years of experience desired

General Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct industrial and/or office evaluations using proven risk analysis and solution methodologies
  • Work with EHS, operations, engineering and design teams to develop detailed solutions to identified ergonomic challenges
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders on major projects and activities • Maintain site ergonomics programs consistent with current and/or pending State and Federal regulations
  • Develop and deliver a variety of ergonomics training classes for employees, managers and EH&S professionals
  • Provide high quality reports and related deliverables in a timely manner

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of biomechanics and ergonomic engineering principles
  • Familiarity with quantitative ergonomic risk assessment techniques
  • Experience using measurement tools and force gauges
  • Experience in larger scale manufacturing ergonomics projects – either in a project management role, or as part of a team
  • Bachelors or Masters in Ergonomics or Occupational Therapy or related field, or equivalent professional certification
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Strong competency with Microsoft: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to work with a team as well as independently and proactively
  • Friendly, self-starter, motivated and professional
